This Cookie Policy explains how Muze AI ("Muze," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies — such as browser storage, pixels, and device identifiers — on the Muze CMO website (muzecmo.com) and web app. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. For any question, contact hello@muzecmo.com.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember your session, understand how the site is used, and — in the case of marketing technologies — measure and target advertising. Some are set by us (first-party) and some by the third-party tools we use (third-party). We treat "cookies" here as including similar client-side technologies like localStorage and tracking pixels.
Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary. These are required for the site and app to function — keeping you signed in, maintaining your session, routing requests, and protecting against cross-site request forgery. They cannot be switched off through a consent banner because the product would not work without them. We do not use them to track you across other sites.
Analytics. These help us understand how people use Muze CMO — which features are used, where users drop off, and whether changes improve the experience. We use PostHog and Amplitude for product analytics. The data is tied to your user or device identifier and is used to operate and improve the product, not to build advertising profiles.
Marketing. These measure the performance of our own advertising and may support retargeting visitors who have shown interest in Muze CMO. Marketing pixels on our public website are configured in our website front end.
Our public website loads the Meta Pixel and Google tags (Google Ads and Google Analytics 4, delivered through Google Tag Manager) to measure our advertising and support retargeting of visitors who have shown interest in Muze CMO, and Microsoft Clarity for session analytics. Each is listed in the table below.
Note: Muze also performs server-side conversion measurement (sending hashed sign-up and purchase events to Meta's Conversions API). Because that happens on our servers rather than through a cookie in your browser, it is described in the Privacy Policy's "Analytics and Conversion Tracking" section, not here.

Retention
Strictly necessary session cookies generally expire when you close your browser or sign out. Persistent analytics and marketing cookies remain on your device for a defined period unless you clear them earlier.
Typical lifetimes of the persistent cookies these tools set: the Meta Pixel (_fbp) about 3 months; Google Analytics (_ga) about 24 months, with related _ga_* identifiers up to 24 months and _gid about 24 hours; Google Ads (_gcl_*) about 90 days; Microsoft Clarity (_clck) about 12 months and (_clsk) about 1 day; and PostHog and Amplitude device identifiers up to about 12 months. Exact durations are set by each provider and may change; you can clear these cookies at any time through your browser.
Your Choices and Withdrawing Consent
Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing), we ask for it — for example, through a cookie banner — before those cookies are set, and you can accept or decline by category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by:
- Updating your preferences in our cookie banner or settings link on the website;
- Adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies (note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the app); and
- Using the opt-out or "do not sell/share" controls offered by the analytics and advertising providers listed above.
Withdrawing consent does not affect data already collected before you withdrew, and does not affect strictly necessary cookies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our website and tools change. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date above. Material changes may also be highlighted in the product or by email.
