Muze Privacy Policy
Muze is an AI advertising product operated by AgentProd Inc., at San Francisco, California, United States. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, use Muze, or connect an advertising or commerce account. For privacy questions and requests, contact hello@muzecmo.com.
Information we handle
- Account and business information: information you provide to create and manage your account, contact us, or identify your business and team.
- Content and instructions: prompts, brand materials, creative assets, campaign instructions, feedback, and approvals you submit to Muze.
- Connected account information: account identifiers, authorization tokens, and the advertising or commerce information available through the permissions you grant. Depending on the connection and enabled features, this can include campaigns, creatives, budgets, spend and performance reports, product catalogs, and store or order information. Customer personal information is processed only where the authorized feature requires it.
- Service and website information: device, browser, network, usage, diagnostic and security information, plus your cookie preferences. Optional analytics and marketing collection depends on your choices.
- Billing and support information: subscription and transaction records, and information you share when requesting support. Payment providers process payment details under their own terms.
Account connections and your controls
You may authorize Muze to connect to Meta, Google, Amazon, or Shopify through the platform's authorization process, including OAuth where supported. The permission screen identifies the access requested. The information and actions available to Muze depend on the scopes you approve and your permissions on that platform. Connecting an account does not transfer ownership of it.
We use connected account information to provide the features you request, such as analyzing performance, preparing creatives and recommendations, and carrying out authorized campaign actions. Actions must stay within your instructions, permissions, and the approval or automation settings you select. Review those settings before authorizing actions that can publish content or spend money.
You can revoke authorization through the connected platform's account settings. Contact us if you need help disconnecting an account. Revocation stops future access using that authorization; it does not itself delete information previously received, cancel your subscription, pause live campaigns, or reverse actions already completed. Request deletion separately as described below.
How we use information
We use information to deliver and administer Muze, follow your instructions, generate AI-assisted outputs, communicate with you, process subscriptions, diagnose problems, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations. Optional website analytics helps us understand website use when you consent. We do not use account authorization as permission for unrelated purposes.
When Muze processes customer information from your connected business accounts on your behalf, you remain responsible for the notices, permissions, and instructions needed for that processing. Where a data processing agreement is required, contact us to arrange it. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, the relevant basis depends on the activity, including providing the requested service, legitimate operational and security interests, legal obligations, or your consent.
Service providers and other recipients
Information may be processed by service providers supporting hosting, AI generation, communications, payments, support, and consented analytics, as necessary for those functions. Prompts and relevant context may be sent to AI providers to produce the output you request. Do not submit unnecessary personal or sensitive information. Contact us for information about the providers and processing locations relevant to your use of Muze.
Information is shared with a connected platform when needed to carry out your authorized actions. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to address fraud, security threats, or legal claims. Third-party platforms have their own terms and privacy policies; this policy does not replace them.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential storage supports functions such as security and remembering your consent choices. Optional analytics and marketing scripts remain blocked until you consent. Reject All declines optional categories, Accept All enables them, and Customise lets you choose categories separately. Use Cookie Settings to change or withdraw your choices for future collection. Withdrawal does not undo collection that took place before the change. Third-party video playback may involve the video provider once you choose to load or open it.
With analytics consent, we use Google Analytics, PostHog, Amplitude and Microsoft Clarity to measure visits, interactions and errors; PostHog and Clarity may provide session recordings. With marketing consent, we use Google Ads and the Meta Pixel, campaign attribution and Apollo business visitor identification. Marketing events may also be sent to the Muze backend for server-side measurement. Google Tag Manager runs the existing combined tag configuration only when both optional categories are allowed. You can withdraw either category through Cookie Settings.
Retention, security, and deletion
We retain information according to the purpose for which it is processed, your account and instructions, applicable platform requirements, and legal obligations. Information should be deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable retention requirements.
We use safeguards intended to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Do not send platform passwords or access tokens in support messages.
Contact hello@muzecmo.com to request access, correction, export, or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights, including objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to a relevant privacy authority. We may need to verify your identity and authority. If your information is held through a merchant or advertiser using Muze, contact that business first; we assist with requests relating to information processed on its instructions. Deletion from Muze does not delete records independently held by connected platforms.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or information practices change. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate. Direct questions to hello@muzecmo.com, or write to AgentProd Inc. at San Francisco, California, United States.
