Short answer
Almost every MCP server sold to marketing teams today is an advertising server, so pick by the channel your money is actually in. If that is only Meta, use Meta's own official server: it is first-party, free during the open beta, and takes about five minutes. If you run Meta, Google, Amazon and a Shopify store, Muze reaches all four through one OAuth connection and previews every write before it fires. For LinkedIn, PaidSync. For Google reporting an assistant can never act on, Google's official server is read-only and free.

Rank is use-case order, not a single score. Read the best-for column rather than the number beside it.
How we picked
We compared on five things: which platforms one connection reaches, whether the server can act or only report, what stands between you and the first useful answer, what stops a confident-sounding instruction from spending money, and whether the vendor publishes enough detail to compare like for like. One rule comes before all five. Check whether the vendor you already pay ships a first-party server, because that means the permission model is the platform's own. Two of the seven entries below are exactly that.
Order is by use case rather than by a single score, and the entry at position one is not ours. This category is also advertising-shaped right now. If your marketing job is email, CRM, content or analytics, the servers below will not help, and we have not listed servers in those categories because we have not verified them.
1Meta Ads MCP (official)
Meta ships its own MCP server for Meta Ads, and if your paid spend is entirely on Meta it is the correct first stop before you pay anyone else. It is first-party, free during the open beta, and connects to Claude or ChatGPT in roughly five minutes with a Facebook OAuth login, exposing 29 tools with read and write access. The reason to look further is not quality. It is scope: one platform, no cross-channel view, and beta behaviour that can still change.
Strengths
- First-party, shipped by Meta, so trust and permissions are never in question
- Free during the open beta
- Roughly five-minute setup in Claude or ChatGPT
- Read and write access, not read-only
Limitations
- Meta only, so Google needs a second connection and Amazon a third
- No cross-platform reporting or blended ROAS
- Beta, so behaviour and availability can change
Best for: Meta-only advertisers who want the first-party option and nothing more.
2Muze
Muze is one OAuth connection that reaches Meta Ads, Google Ads, Amazon Ads and Shopify, which is the widest span on this page and the only one that includes commerce data. It exposes 149 tools and is built to optimize rather than only expose endpoints: find this week's wasted spend, compare Meta against Google, research competitor creative from the Meta Ad Library, build the campaign, pause the loser. Every write returns a preview and waits for an explicit confirmation, new campaigns are created paused, and pricing is flat software pricing rather than a percentage of ad spend.
Strengths
- One OAuth connection covers Meta Ads, Google Ads, Amazon Ads and Shopify
- 149 tools, weighted toward optimization rather than plumbing
- Blends ad spend against real Shopify revenue instead of per-platform ROAS
- Every write previews first and new campaigns are created paused
- Priced as software, never as a percentage of ad spend
Limitations
- Newer and less known than Pipeboard or the official platform servers
- Free tier is 25 read-only tool calls a month, so write actions need a paid plan
- No LinkedIn or TikTok through the connection, and Shopify is commerce data rather than an ad channel
Best for: Teams running more than one platform who want one connection, real optimization, and a confirmation step before anything spends.
3Pipeboard
Pipeboard is the most established third-party MCP server for advertising and the name that comes up most often when someone asks which to connect. It is hosted, there is a free plan, and it carries a badged Meta Business Partner status, which is a real signal when you are handing an assistant access to live budgets. It covers Meta and Google with full read and write through one endpoint, plus TikTok, Snap and Reddit. Where it stops is commerce, so blended reporting stays a separate job.
Strengths
- Badged Meta Business Partner, a strong trust signal
- Full read and write across Meta and Google in one endpoint
- Five social and search platforms covered
- Public GitHub repo and the longest track record in the category
Limitations
- No Amazon Ads and no commerce or Shopify data
- Positioned around campaign operations rather than autonomous optimization
Best for: Social-first marketing teams who want a proven, partner-badged operator across Meta and Google.
4PaidSync
PaidSync publishes the largest tool count in the category at 309 tools across seven platforms, with full read and write on Google, Meta and LinkedIn. If LinkedIn is in the media mix it is the most direct option here, which makes it the natural pick for B2B marketing teams. A large tool count is useful when you want granular control, and breadth of endpoints is not depth of judgement. More tools means more things an assistant can call, not a better sense of which to call.
Strengths
- The largest published tool count in the category at 309 tools
- Seven platforms including LinkedIn, which matters for B2B
- Full read and write on Google, Meta and LinkedIn
Limitations
- Breadth of tools is not the same as depth of optimization
- No commerce or Shopify revenue blending
- Free tier is not published
Best for: B2B marketing teams who need LinkedIn alongside Google and Meta.
5Google Ads MCP (official)
Google ships an official Google Ads MCP server whose defining property is that it is read-only by design. It will report, analyze and answer questions about the account, and it cannot launch a campaign, move a budget or pause an ad. For a lot of teams that is the right trade: the worst case is a wrong answer rather than a wrong spend, which makes it the easiest server to get past a security review. It is first-party, free, and uses Google OAuth. Pair it with something else if you want changes made.
Strengths
- First-party and free
- Safe by construction: it cannot change your account
- Google OAuth, no developer account or token minting
Limitations
- Read-only, so it cannot launch, pause or optimize anything
- Google only
Best for: Analysts and marketing teams who want an assistant to explain Google Ads and never touch it.
6Adspirer
Adspirer covers a wide channel list including Google, Meta, Amazon, LinkedIn and TikTok, which makes it one of the broader options if your only criterion is how many platforms one vendor reaches. It also publishes unusually thorough documentation, which is part of why it surfaces so often in AI answers about this category. The gap is transparency on what buyers actually decide on: tool count and pricing are not clearly published, so comparing like for like means talking to them first. There is no commerce-side data either.
Strengths
- Broad platform list including Amazon, LinkedIn and TikTok
- Strong published documentation and comparison content
- Read and write access across the channels it covers
Limitations
- Tool count and pricing are not clearly published
- No Shopify or commerce revenue blending
Best for: Marketing teams who want the widest channel list from a single vendor and will ask about pricing directly.
7GoMarble
GoMarble is the open-source, self-hosted option for teams who want to read the code before an assistant touches a live ad account. It covers Meta and Google, you run it on your own infrastructure with your own API credentials, and there is no per-seat vendor pricing. The cost is operational rather than financial: you host it, secure it, update it, and take on the developer-account setup the hosted options remove. For an engineering-led team that is a fair trade. Without engineering support it usually is not.
Strengths
- Open source, so you can audit exactly what an assistant is able to do
- No vendor lock-in and no per-seat cost
- Runs inside your own infrastructure
Limitations
- You host, secure, update and monitor it yourself
- Requires your own developer credentials and ongoing maintenance
- Meta and Google only
Best for: Engineering-led teams who want full control and are happy to run infrastructure.
Which one should you choose
- Meta is your only paid channel: Meta's official MCP server.
- You run more than one platform and want store revenue in the same answer: Muze.
- You want a partner-badged server across Meta, Google and the social platforms: Pipeboard.
- LinkedIn is part of your media mix: PaidSync.
- You want analysis an assistant can never act on: Google's official MCP server.
- You want the widest channel list from one vendor: Adspirer.
- You want to self-host and read the source: GoMarble.
Where Muze is the wrong answer
Muze is the wrong answer for several jobs on this page. If Meta is your only channel, Meta's own server is free during the open beta and first-party, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If LinkedIn matters, PaidSync covers it and our connection does not. If you need self-hosted, auditable open source, use GoMarble. If your security posture is that an assistant must never be able to write, Google's read-only server removes the risk entirely and we cannot match that by being careful. And if the marketing work you want automated is email, CRM, content or SEO, none of our 149 tools touch any of it.
Frequently asked questions
- What is an MCP server, in marketing terms?
- It is a connector that gives an AI assistant real access to a system, so instead of explaining how to pause a campaign it can pause the campaign. Model Context Protocol is the shared standard that lets ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor talk to the same connector. For marketing that means ad accounts today: read the numbers, and usually write the change.
- Which MCP server should a marketing team connect first?
- Whichever one covers the channel your budget sits in, and check for a first-party server before a third-party one. Meta ships an official server that is free during its beta, and Google ships an official read-only server. If your spend is spread across platforms, a single connection that reaches all of them saves more time than any individual feature.
- Are there MCP servers for email, CRM and analytics?
- The category is expanding, and we have deliberately not listed servers we could not verify against a published source. Check your existing vendor's own documentation for a first-party server before adding a third party, because that keeps the permission model and your data inside a relationship you already have.
- Is it safe to give an AI assistant write access to ad accounts?
- It depends on the write model, not on the assistant. The safest posture is confirm-gated writes, where every change previews first and executes only after explicit confirmation, and new campaigns are created paused. Read-only servers such as Google's remove the risk completely, at the cost of the assistant being unable to act.
- Do I need a developer account or API keys?
- Not for the hosted options. Muze, Pipeboard, Adspirer and the official Meta and Google servers use OAuth, so you authorize with your normal platform login. Self-hosted open source such as GoMarble does require you to supply, store and rotate your own API credentials.
- Which AI clients do these work with?
- Any client that supports remote MCP connections, which now includes ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. The connector is the same in each, so the difference is the interface you prefer rather than the capability you get. For hosted servers, setup is a URL and an OAuth login.
